osgood and the zygons
We first encountered Osgood in the 50th anniversary story, and when she died in death in heaven, fans were so fuming about what Steven Moffat had done to this loveable character. Having a lot of potential in her, everyone was excited when she was announced she would return in the new series. Well, here we have some theories about what we think will happen in episodes 7/8. So at the end of the day of the doctor, Osgood had two versions, a zygon and a human. Could it have been the zygon who was utterly obliterated by Missy? Well, Steven Moffat said that a zygon would not be killed that easily, so there is more from here. Missy was not disintegrated by that ray, so could it have been a teleporter. Who knows? But all you fans out there are prepared for the big moment.
There has been a lot of anticipation about who Maisie will be playing, defiantly after the comic con trailer was released. It is most likely it will be a character from the previous episode, the girl who died. But she said "It has been a long time old man." It could be Susan, who was left on Earth with David Campbell. But she was left in the year 2164, so it is unlikely, unless she has been given a time machine. Another likely candidate is Jenny, the doctors daughter, or it could be...
Now, as many people have theorised the time lords may be returning in series 9, but I have a different opinion. I do think this series will have the time lords (maybe in the story arc) but I will talk about that in part 2. So, I think Missy will use the chameleon arch to be human. This could be to help Clara (she has been pictured alongside her.) Will she become a good guy, and could she be trying to stop the daleks? It said Missy will be 'more human than the doctor' and 'different' this year. It could mean that she is Maisie, and time has been changed so she becomes a human for the whole of her life.
We will be back soon to discuss more about series 9 including the time lords, the daleks and series 9's big cliffhanger. Goodbye!

Here is a trailer breakdown. No spoilers are included:
1. A plain old shot of the doctor. Peter Copaldi appears for the first time in the mrlewismoon adventures in this season.
2. An Auton approaches the screen. It has been confirmed that the autons will star in the first episode, Dara.
3. The annoying cat, who returns this year in more than one episode, is approached by what looks like Mr Ivan from last year's the krillitane syndrome.
4. The doctor, Lily and Dara are terrorised by a bug like creature. Could this be the mexican dream bug rumoured for dreamt?
5. "And she will die." Very interesting as when it said someone will die it closes up on Dara's face.
6. A weeping angel, which will appear in episode three, past. It is in black and white. How far into the past will this episode go?
7. Korgatta, who appeared in day the dark magic strikes is meant to play a major role in season 5.
8. The doctor, Lily and Dara are all alongside each other in what looks like a lift. This could help with the pictures that were spotted while the filming of Dreamt took place.
9. Lisa Scando looks like she could be returning, but not as Pwa but as the devil herself from episode four, devil.
10. The doctor and Clara in the TARDIS turn round to each other.
11. A pig terrorises a man on a spaceship. This is rumoured to be from episode five, lost.
12. Another picture of the doctor with a man who looks like he is good. Maybe he helps the doctor stopping...
13. Sharaz Jek, who is one of the monsters who we did not know was returning in series 5.
14. The doctor alongside 3 others in a picture which looks like it could be from D-cools script, Jungle.
15. Another pic of the devil, which looks like Bok from the Daemons at this moment. The back of this creature was pictured at the devil's transformation. (See picture 9)
16. A werewolf creeps across the screen, and it looks Hungary. No, don't eat the doctor, he is our main character!
17. A snapshot from the theme tune which will return in every episode of series 5 from August 29th.
18. The doctor, Lily and some of the crewmates appear alongside Sharaz Jek. What has he got in store for them?
Hope you enjoyed the trailer. Bye!
Big Finish are delighted to announce that fan-favourite actor Gareth David-Lloyd will star as Ianto Jones for the second release in our new series of Torchwood Audio Dramas.
Gareth appeared throughout the first three series of the popular BBC show created by Russell T Davies. A mild-mannered administrator for the Torchwood team, Ianto helped defend Cardiff from the horrors of the rift, and aided the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) in a battle against the Daleks in two episodes of Doctor Who.
Ianto made his final TV appearance in the 2009 mini-series Children of Earth, but his popularity and legacy has stood the test of time, with a special commemorative memorial for the character erected in Cardiff Bay.
“Well, how could we not?” says producer James Goss. “Ianto’s such a brilliant character, and if we kept people on tenterhooks any longer, we’d be fools. Of course he’s in it and as soon as possible. We recorded with him literally the first day after he finished a theatre tour. Did he want to put his feet up? Nope. He wanted to be Ianto.”
Gareth will return in Torchwood: Fall to Earth, where the team’s ongoing investigation into a worldwide conspiracy places Ianto on the first privately-funded spaceflight; just as it’s plunging out of the sky! The new release follows on from John Barrowman’s return as Captain Jack Harkness in the opening instalment, Torchwood: The Conspiracy.
“Seeing Gareth in studio was an absolute delight,” glowed director Scott Handcock. “He clearly loves the part and had a great time. And can’t wait to be back.”
The new story will be released in October, allowing for an unbroken run of stories from September. Four more releases will follow at monthly intervals into 2016.
“There was originally going to be a gap after the first release,” explains James, “but we soon realised that everyone we spoke to was being so helpful, we’d be in studio a lot earlier. Actors, writers, agents, BBC Worldwide have all been amazing – ‘Well, since it’s Torchwood’ everyone kept saying. So it’s coming out early. Since it’s Torchwood.”
Torchwood: Fall to Earth will be released in October, and can be pre-orderedtoday. It will be followed by four further stories at monthly intervals, through to February 2016. You can subscribe to all six titles today, starting with September’s Torchwood: The Conspiracy.

We will be back soon for another update on the happenings at comic con.
Ahead of today’s Comic-Con panel, Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez have participated in a few interviews and some interesting hints on Series 9 have emerged.
Peter Capaldi spoke more about the recent teaser image (pictured, right) stating: “The picture hints at a battle, it hints at the Doctor being in a very traditional battlefield, in which he tries to help a victim of war… but it backfires.”
Jenna Coleman spoke about Clara and the Doctor: “We have a lot of very fun adventures to look forward to. Clara and the Doctor are very much a team, very much together battling and facing the world, so all is gravy, for now.”
Peter added: “We’ve worked out a lot of things. The great thing about the Clara and Doctor relationship is they know enough about each other to feel comfortable with each other, and are happy forging ahead together. But the Doctor remains an alien, so there’s always a hidden aspect to him which you can never quite embrace, and sometimes that does appear.
“I think Clara is the best companion there’s ever been because she’s able to keep the Doctor in line, and she’s not frightened to give him a slap occasionally and tell him to grow up even though he’s two-and-a-half thousand years old.”
Clara will try to improve the 12th Doctor’s social skills, and Capaldi joked about the “Clara Oswald Finishing School for Elderly Timelords”.
Michelle Gomez meanwhile spoke about Missy: “We’ve managed to make Missy quite well-rounded and maybe even more human than the Doctor, and that was my challenge. I didn’t want her just to be the pantomime villain. There is a little dance that they are doing there which is quite subtle and their relationship is more human than has gone before with the Master and the Doctor. It’s almost domestic.”
On the Doctor and Clara relationship Jenna says: “I’d say it’s slightly less bumpy. I think they’ve reached a pleasant place of understanding. She is no longer split between home life and Doctor Who life, and she kind of throws herself into the TARDIS and her life with the Doctor, and she joins him in reckless abandon.”
Capaldi and Coleman talk about one of their favourite stories this year: “We do an episode with some Vikings,” says Jenna. “Yes. We like Vikings. Seeing Vikings on a spaceship is so incredibly Doctor-Who-ish,” adds Capaldi. “Jenna started on that before I did. I walked in and saw you in a space suit on a spaceship with a pile of Vikings. And it just looked absolutely amazing”.
On Peter’s wish to bring back the Mondasian Cybermen: “I’m not doing very well in my crusade, but then I may be surprised.”
We suggest you watch BBC one at 10.30PM. They stated "We have an appointment with you." Could this be the trailer?
Could you tease the two-part premiere?
It places the Doctor in a conflict that is central to his being, as well as containing some subtle tributes to the ’60s, and truly wonderful guest performances.
What can you tell us about the exclusive photograph from the premiere (see above)?
The photo shows the Doctor about to make a mistake that has cataclysmic repercussions.
How is the Doctor different this season from last?
He’s throwing himself into life with a newfound hunger for adventure. He’s in pursuit of joy and grabbing every thrill that he can along the way. But I sense him running from something, that even he does not yet understand.
Tell us about the villains and monsters the Doctor will be encountering this season?
There is an epic sweep to this season and I think the villains and monsters reflect that. Great new ones, brilliant old ones, and some very scary creatures looming in stories with real emotional ambition.
In the hands of Michelle Gomez, Missy is more magnificently bad than ever before.
Maisie Williams is one of the new season’s guest stars. How was working with her?
Maisie is fantastic. A sharp, talented tornado. As an 18-year-old, she has taught me many new words and expressions. All I’ll say about her character is she shifts in cosmic ways.
How would you describe the relationship between your Doctor and Jenna Coleman’s Clara this season?
They’ve suddenly realized that they are the most fortunate people in all of time and space and are hellbent on adventure. Jenna continutes to deliver a beautifully nuanced, complex, and funny performance that marks her out as one of the best companions ever.
Jenna had planned on leaving last season before changing her mind. Will these be her last shows?
I hope not.
