Yesterday me and D-cool went to Bournemouth film and comic Con. Let's see the who stars that were there.
We enjoyed our bashing with fame at our first ever comic con! Let's hope next year will be just as great!
So recently we have had new pictures from the premiere. Now I will talk about some of the things in episode one which I most anticipate. So here we go...
I'm just looking forward, as it is the beginning of the series, to seeing how Peter develops in the character. In series 8 it was about him fitting in and the 'am I a good man?' story arc, but this time we get to see the thrills of new adventures. How he will work with Clara this series is what I'm unsure about-but excited by.
Missy is back for the first time since the season 8 finale, dark water/death in heaven. I just love the idea of a female master-but I do not like the idea of a female doctor. This story will see her in it for the only time in series 9 (so far as confirmed.) We think she may return again after this-but I am just looking forward to seeing her in the premiere.
I think Clara will be more of a strong, kick ass companion this series, a bit like Ace from the 80s. But I think she has got used to the doctor now, so she sort of feels she can get on with the adventures without worry. This series it looks like we may see a whole new side to Clara. But what will lie ahead for her?
Yes, in the trailer we saw that lots of old daleks will be returning in this episode-and Skaro. Will we see Davros? The question of that is unsure but we know that there is daleks from the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 2000s. We don't know where all of these daleks have come from-but we know they will be epic!
shocks and suprises
We don't know what could happen in this story. It is a moffat story so we know that it will contain a few gasping moments. But will they be as shocking as they have been in previous years? Well, we will look forward for the cliffhanger.
Also, as an amusing thing... let's look at the shocks of the second trailer...
The doctor looks shocked
Rigsy looks shocked
And Clara is shocked!
Stop being shocked! tells Maisie!
Doctor who. A series which fills your imagination with creative ideas and nothing but junk. So here we are, with another top 10, but who will reach the number one spot this time?
10. warriors of the deep
This is not one of the best episodes of doctor who, but me and D-cool think this episode is very underrated. It brings back both the Silurians and sea devils in the same story!
9. destiny of the daleks
Here at number 9 we have an episode which just made it into this very list. This episode saw the second time we saw Davros, but should we have seen him more than this?
8. the sontaran STRATAGEM/the poison sky
This is another hated episode amongst fans. It is in the bottom half of episodes but it is still enjoyable. It also brings the sontarans into the reinvention of who.
7. The hungary earth/cold blood
I find this another enjoyable episode which is not mentioned much. It brings back the Silurians, and however much I prefer their old designs, I find this a very good episode.
6. the snowmen
The reason I put this nearer the top than the rest of them is because of the episode and story. It brings back the Great Intelligence who appeared last in the web of fear.
We will be back soon for the second part! Goodbye!
Today we conclude our countdown into season 8 episodes and scenes in order. So enjoy!
6. "it's always last christmas (last christmas)
5. "say something nice!" (death in heaven)
4. "start the clock!"(mummy on the orient express)
3. "I'm the doctor, i've lived for over 2000 years!" (deep breath)
2. "fear makes companions of us all" (listen)
1. "Oh you know who i am (dark water)
If you agree with the list then that is great, if not comment and tell us your order. Will be back soon, bye!
Season 8 introduced a brand new doctor to our screens. We saw him hit us with a bang-and as season 9 approaches we will revisit DWTAS's favourite season ever with our top episodes in order. Enjoy!
13. "i have a spoon!" (robot of sherwood)
12. "Are you the doctor?" (In the forest of the night)
11. "the teller is never wrong." (time heist)
10. "this is clara, not my assistant!" (into the dalek)
9. "my grandma used to post things on tumblr!" (kill the moon)
8. "he's not the caretaker." (the caretaker)
7. "keep away from the walls." (flatline)
Who will win my list of season 8 in scenes? Well, watch this space to find out.
Let's catch up with some of the brand new vids that have popped up recently on mine and D-cool's account. Recently, D-cool released a video on our trips to London. It shows us at places including the national gallery, St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster bridge and more. You can see that video below!:
Also, as every week we released another podcast on Saturday. We had a very interesting discussion on companions in order and why the doctor needs one. See the geek out below:
So, what is our favourite regeneration?
13. colin baker to sylvester mccoy
It wasn't even the actor (Colin Baker) who played the sixth doctor in his final moments. Sylvester Mccoy was the one who actually played the sixth doctor in the only regeneration at the start of a story.
12. sylvester mccoy to paul mccguan
The regeneration from a much loved doctor sees him turn into a man who will only play the doctor for a few episodes. He will turn out to be more successful in the big finish adventures.
11. Peter davidson to colin baker
You notice that all of the 1980s are near the bottom (and 90s?) Well, this is a classic regeneration, but just misses off the top 10. The faces circling around the doctor's head is a memorable scene.
10. john hurt to christopher eccleston
We see a brand new doctor come to our screens in the 50th anniversary and then at the end of the episode he regenerates again. We say John Hurt should be allowed more air time.
9. david tennant to david tennant
We are not saying that this regeneration is not good, but it cannot beat the rest of them. It is similar to most of the new who regenerations (with the recent one an exception.)
8. william hartnell to PATRICK troughton
Now this is memorable. Are you surprised it is so low? It is the first regeneration, and without it we may not have who now. But it does not have the effect some of the others have.
7. paul mccgann to john hurt
Another great regeneration, but cannot match up to some of the latest ones and better ones. It was a long awaited regeneration, and everyone was glad to see it happen.
6. tom baker to peter davidson
D-cool will be full of rage when he finds out that his favourite regeneration is as low as sixth. And it was sad to see maybe the most iconic doctor, Tom Baker.
5. christopher eccleston to david tennant
It was sad to see the man who brang back the doctor and made his role his own regenerate. But at the same time it brought one of the most adored doctors by fans.
4. patrick troughton to jon pertwee
We at the doctor who time and space studios find that this regeneration is quite amusing. It is a truly classic regeneration, and is one of Patrick's many memorable scenes.
3. matt smith to peter copaldi
It was sad to see my favourite doctor, Matt Smith regenerate into what looked like a rubbish doctor to me. But when I saw deep breath, I learnt that Peter Copaldi is great as the doctor!
2. jon pertwee to tom baker
This is an emotional exit to the third doctor's era, and one of the most fitting regenerations so far. It also showed Jon Pertwee turn into the iconic doctor Tom Baker. So at number one is...
1. david tennant to matt smith
When my first ever doctor regenerated, I had a tear in my eye. This was the only doctor who scene that has made me cry. It is also very funny and entertaining to see Matt Smith.
Next time in our lists we look at top dalek episodes.
