WARNING: This review contains spoilers for Class episode two.
Class episode one, as you mat remember, was a really good opener to the new spin off show. It set up the scene for what seemed to be such a great looking series. And it really suited the style of the young adult sort of themes that are set up in here.
Episode two, the coach with the dragon tattoo, focuses on Ram (Fady Elysad), and him struggling to cope with not being able to use his football skills after all of his problems with his legs in episode one.
The Shadow Kin started off a great reign of monsters in the first episode, and he will also appear in episode four and I believe episode five. But this episode also featured another great monster, which I believed was unnamed, which was a skin peeling dragon. I love the idea of this monster, and it sets up for more uses of violence and gore.
This episode is not as strong as the first one, but it shows the cast are developing, and without the doctor himself to get in the way of character development, they can have an adventure to themselves. And you can really see how they are growing as characters.
The second episode develops Ram mainly as a character, and does set up a few things for few episodes. These include Tanya and her father who has passed away, and April also with her father who she has fallen out with.
So I would give this episode a thumbs up as well.
