Panini UK, the publisher of Doctor Who Adventures, has announced that it will be pausing publication of the magazine.
The last issue of the magazine to be released will be Issue 24, on sale from 22nd June 2017. There is currently no information as to when or if the magazine will resume publication.
In an official statement, the company said:
"We are pausing the publication of Dr Who Adventures magazine and will not be publishing regular issues in the near future. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyalty to the magazine, which we greatly appreciate and we hope that you have enjoyed the title as much as we have. Current subscribers will be contacted in due course with regards to refunds."
Subscribers to the magazine have received an email notification of the news, informing them that digital subscriptions can be converted into subscriptions for Doctor Who Magazine or otherwise cancelled.
Doctor Who Adventures, aimed at younger Doctor Who fans, started off as a fortnightly magazine in 2006. It was published by BBC Worldwide before being sold to Immediate Media in 2011, and then to Panini UK, the publishers of Doctor Who Magazine, in 2015. The magazine has unfortunately suffered from low circulation figures in recent years - in the second half of 2016 circulation fell to 10,364, with circulation of Doctor Who Magazine achieving an audited circulation of over double that figure (22,523) in the same timeframe.
