Here's your guide to everything that we know so far about the upcoming season of doctor who, series 11, the first series to feature Jodie Whittaker as the thirteenth doctor. Warning, mild spoilers may be listed below: Last updated: 27/08/18 AirdateThere are two rumoured release dates which are circuling around-23rd September and the weekend of 6/7th October. It is proving extremely likely that the series shall be broadcast on Sunday evenings however the BBC have yet to give confirmation on an official release date. FormatThere will be 10 episodes of series 11-a 65 minute opener and 9 50 minute episodes which would follow. There shall also be a seasonal special which shall be screened on Christmas day in addition to the series. The episode shall also be the introduction of new showrunner Chris Chibnall, who shall be penning the opener. The story shall be directed by lead director Jamie Childs. Story details are yet to be confirmed on this story meaning we are unsure of the villain or what the first adventure Whittaker shall have. 11.2-TBCThis story shall be directed by Mark Tondari and featured filming from Cape Town in South Africia. Either this episode or the third story in the series shall be focused around the Montgomery bus Boycott.
