Polly Wright, who will return this year as Lily Eden, has commented about leaving the show this season. She is heartbroken to leave, and she has also gave hints on the next companion.
"I think Lily is a very shouty character, she likes to get in the way of the doctor," Polly tells us. "All she wants is a little bit of attention around the TARDIS. With the doctor now a different person, she finds it hard to fit into the crew. With Dara joining adds a whole lot more stress to her. She finds it hard to cope now a days.
She adds. "The reason I left is quite simple-I was worried that the character would get to boring. I didn't want the character to become more deep as she was at the moment. When they offered me a script for the first episode, I thought, 'How can I fit into this storyline?' I knew I was satisfied with the two series that I had.
Talking about the new companion, she tells us, "The new companion is someone new to the mrlewismoon adventures. But not a new character to doctor who itself!"
